Caressa Layne Miles is a writer, curator, and contemporary artist driven to elevate creatives of all kinds. She studied Fine Arts at Ball State University (IN) and Theology and Philosophy at Xavier University (OH).
Caressa is the Director for the Art Gallery at Xavier University, and is the Art Editor for Rawhead Journal.
Caressa has curated exhibitions of international visual artists, exhibited her own visual art nationally, and her poetry and fiction have been published in Art of Nothing Press, The Science Fiction Poetry Association, The Plentitudes, and The Dark Poets. She was awarded Third in the 2025 Plentitudes Prizes for Flash Fiction.
Caressa contributes to the to the regional and international art scene as an art critic, lecturer, curator, gallery director, and writer. Her mission is to foster artistic cross-pollination between disciplines, and celebrate the scope of creative work.
